Trever Strnad’s loss of life at 41 leaves steel world in items as stars pay tribute

Trevor Strnad, frontman of melodic loss of life steel band The Black Dahlia Murder, has handed away on the age of 41.

His sudden loss of life was confirmed by the group in an Instagram statement on Wednesday night (11 May 2022).

The 4 band members wrote: “It is with deep unhappiness we announce the passing of Trevor Scott Strnad. Beloved son, brother and shepherd of good instances, he was liked by all who met him.

“A walking encyclopaedia of all things music, he was a hugger, a writer and truly one of the world’s greatest entertainers. His lyrics provided the world with stories and spells and horror and whimsy. It was his life to be your show.”

While there was no official affirmation of motive for loss of life, the message concluded with a amount for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.

Strnad and guitarist Brian Eschbach had been the one genuine members of the band, there have been 11 departures from the group as a result of it formed in Michigan in 2001.

Jamey Jasta, lead singer of Hatebreed, tweeted: “RIP Trevor Strnad, you’ll be missed dearly. My deepest condolences to TDBM, his family, friends and fans. Thanks for all the laughs, the stories, the music and so much more.”

Strnad’s vocal experience was emphasised by Stray From The Patch drummer Craig Reynolds, who claimed totally different loss of life steel bands have two singers as a end result of “neither of them could do what he did”.
